Golden Days of Play with Alchemy

Alchemy offers a delicious range of family entertainments and activities, tempting to the tastes of castles, country parks, medieval fairs, street events and festivals of all kinds. We are also happy to provide delights for banquets and weddings.

First and foremost we have a fine hatching of Dragons, beautifully crafted with care and expertise. Will you try our Dragon Puppet Walkabout, the Dragon Procession or the fiery Dragons of our storytellers' imaginations? Or will you mix a medley of two or three to create one of our Dragon Days? Perhaps we can tempt you to our Dragon Play, hands-on fun with theatre skills especially suitable for school holiday and half term events.

For special celebrations we can offer some spice! Our custom-made Fire Theatre shows are individually created to reflect your event and venue. With our expert fire performers, drama, music, costume and pyrotechnic effects, we will bring sparkle to your night! We have not heard of any other company producing site-specific shows of this kind.

Or will you try a dish with a twist of the bizarre? Then Pandemonium will reign! Mystery, intrigue and a generous helping of silliness are guaranteed with this three-handed piece of roving street theatre.

And will you round off the day with a tale or two? The timeless art of storytelling rests the body and nourishes the heart. Hear fiery Dragon tales, Celtic and Norse myths re-woven or Tolkien's wonderful stories of monsters and heroes. Or can we bring you tales, thrills and atmosphere at Halloween?

Since the hatching of Alchemy's first baby Dragon in 2004, we have performed at a wide variety of events and venues across the country. Recently, our Dragons have come out to play at Lulworth, Belvoir, Hedingham, and Knaresboro Castles, at the Middle Earth weekend in Birmingham, on St.George's day for Wolverhampton Council and at Avoncroft Museum's Myths and Legends weekend.

We have created our unique Fire Theatre shows for special celebrations at Leeds Castle and Tewkesbury Medieval Festival, amongst others.

All our performers have full public liability insurance and enhanced CRB checks. Our regular crew also have full Equity membership.
